Bulk Domain Blacklist Checker (DNSBL)

Being blacklisted is one of those problems you learn about from others: mail stops arriving, contact forms silently fail, and ad networks pause the account — all because the domain or its IP ended up on a DNS blocklist.

More about this tool

This bulk checker runs every domain in your list against the widely used public blocklists: Spamhaus ZEN (which combines the SBL, XBL and PBL lists), the Spamhaus Domain Block List, Barracuda, SpamCop, SORBS and SURBL, using the native DNS protocol these lists speak — no API keys, no registration. Domain lists are queried with the domain name, IP lists with the reversed address of its A record, and the report shows a clean/verdict per list plus a summary row where any listing immediately stands out. One honest caveat: some lists (notably Spamhaus) refuse answers to large public resolvers — such checks are shown as n/a instead of pretending to be clean. Use it before starting a mailing campaign, after moving to a new hosting IP, when buying domains with a history, or as a regular health check for your portfolio. Everything exports to CSV.

How it works

  1. Paste up to 100 items, one per line. Duplicates are removed automatically.
  2. If a line contains a full URL, only its host name is used.
  3. The check runs in the background; the results page shows live progress.
  4. Filter the report by status code and export it to CSV.

Rate limit: 5 jobs per hour from one IP address. Results are stored for 7 days.

FAQ

What does "n/a" on a list mean?

The list refused to answer for this query — most often because Spamhaus blocks answers going through large public resolvers, or the DNS lookup itself failed. n/a honestly means "could not check", which is not the same as "clean".

Which IP is checked in the IP lists?

The first A record of the domain — the address a plain visitor would hit. If a site sits behind a CDN, that is a shared CDN edge IP, and listings of shared infrastructure happen to many sites at once.

Why is Google Safe Browsing not in the list?

It requires an API key and quotas, while every list here answers over plain DNS with no registration — that keeps the tool free, instant and keyless for you.

A domain is listed — what now?

Find out which list and why: each list operates a removal page explaining the reason (spam traps, abused hosting, shared IP history). Fix the cause first — removal forms work, but relisting after the same cause is faster.

How often should I re-check?

Listings appear and disappear as listings are re-evaluated. A practical routine is a check after any infrastructure change plus a periodic re-run of the whole list — and the monitoring mode of this service can watch your domains and alert when a verdict changes.
